The Mighty Akira Camera

The Akira camera is a pseudo SLR 35mm all plastic camera given away as a promotional item. Mine was purchased for a few dollars at a Purple Heart Thrift Store

Sporting a plastic lens, a bogus filter, and having f stops from 6.3 to 16,  it has minimal value as a serious camera but is splendid for the photographer who would like a 35mm equivalent of the Diana or Holga. It has no "time" exposure capability and only a simple box camera instantaneous shutter. Oddly it has a tripod socket and the shutter is fitted for a cable release, making it even more ridiculous!
